Through the Hour Glass of Time

Located in the heart of the city, yet impossible to find. You catch a glimpse of a wooden door across Parliament station. You are intrigued. You glide up the stairs with red walls, to reach a quaint atmosphere that looks like New York City the 1960’s. Lamps surround the area with couches in cozy corners. The menu: You’ve got a range of tapas from wontons to dips. The wine list goes from your basic house to French wine that gets decanted to its savory taste.

You are escorted upstairs where you hear there is a balcony. On the way up you notice an array of cigars that you may choose from. On the list is Cohiba Panatellas. One of my favorites. You finally reach the second floor. This place is called Siglo. It takes you back in time for a moment. You take in the atmosphere: the soft chatter, vintage wine, and delicious food as the sweet smell of cigars engulf you. You lose yourself in the moment.
